Cavendish Financial Planning Limited are Independent Financial Advisers, established in 1978 and authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Cavendish have worked closely with Brookes & Co for the past 5 years, advising investors on mortgages in both the UK and Florida, and the two companies have many clients in common.

The close working relationship between the two companies was the reason why MD Stephen Lidford decided to move his team from Braintree to Maldon. Brookes and Cavendish have the same ethos – both companies aim to give sound, unbiased advice to improve our clients’ financial position. Cavendish has worked very successfully with Brookes over the past 5 years to help many people make sound property investments overseas. It made sense for both us and our clients that the two companies be under the same roof.

Stephen has a team of 10, and all his advisers have a minimum of 25 years experience in independent financial planning. Within the team there are specialists in investment planning, pensions, mortgages and general and commercial insurance and Stephen himself is a qualified and regulated Florida mortgage advisor. His knowledge of the Florida system has been invaluable for many clients making property investments in the sunshine state.
